My Skincare Routine (with Mini Reviews)

I just thought I'd share my skincare routine with you all, in hopes it might help you with any skin problems you may have!

Okay, so my skin is sensitive but fairly normal with a bit of oiliness in the t-zone. My skin is also prone to spots (the under the skin ones) and blackheads in the t-zone.

I use a very simple skincare routine containing a cleanser, moisturiser and treatment; these three products are listed below,

Australian Pure Beauty Sensitive Face Wash

This cleanser is free of parabens, mineral oil, SLES, SLS, synthetic fragrance and animal derived products. It is CCF Accredited cruelty free and 98% naturally sourced. It is super gentle and does a simple cleanse of my skin. I use it twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. I would definitely recommend it if you are on the hunt for a gentle face wash.

Simple Kind To Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser

This is a very well known moisturiser by Simple which I'm sure everybody and their mother has heard about; so I'm not going to ramble on about it. But, it is essentially just a gel/cream formulated simple, light moisturiser (like the name says) and is great for daytime and night time as it does not feel greasy on te skin. There are probably better moisturisers out there on the market, but this one does the job nicely anyhow. I use it morning and night after my face wash.

Thursday Plantation 100% Tea Tree Oil

This is exactly what the name says, tea tree oil, not much more to say than that. Except from that it's good at clearing spots (I use a cotton bud to apply it to my face). Be careful though, as I have found a little goes a long way, and too much applied to the face can burn! I use this at night only, right before I go to bed.

I hope you enjoyed reading about my skincare routine, and I would say to definitely try out tea tree oil if you have some stubborn spots that just won't leave. ;)

REVIEW: John Frieda Frizz Ease Shampoo, Conditioner

I have been testing out some John Frieda products for the last month or so, and would like to share my thoughts on two of them with you!

John Frieda Frizz Ease Dream Curls Shampoo & Conditioner

Shampoo: This shampoo retails for around about $16-$18 where I live, which I must admit, is a rather hefty price tag for a drugstore/highstreet shampoo! This shampoo has a mild, pleasant scent (the classic John Frieda scent) and is fairly gentle on the scalp. I didn't find my scalp to feel stripped after washing, which is good because I tend to have a problem with shampoos being extremely drying! I however, did not find this shampoo to make much of a difference to the frizzy-ness of my hair, despite it's large claims to eliminate frizz. Overall, this shampoo isn't anything special for the price, it's a pretty average shampoo in my opinion.

Conditioner: The conditioner also retails between 16 and 18 dollars. It also has that classic John Freida scent. This conditioner detangled my hair in the shower instantly, and that is saying something as I have extremely thick, tangly, curly hair! My hair felt softer and was not as frizzy as usual after it had dried as well! I would definitely recommend this conditioner (seriously, go buy it now!)

Overall: I would definitely suggest to give the conditioner a try, and possibly the shampoo too if you're just looking for a gentle, everyday shampoo, not a frizz-eliminating one.

I hope you enjoyed reading this review, comment down below if you have also tried them and what your thoughts are on them!
